Close the Loop St. Albans! is a community effort to recycle our food waste through composting, diverting food waste from the landfill and keeping it as a local resource.

A wide variety of partners make Close the Loop St. Albans! possible. So far we have:

• Provided systems-thinking education to 3000 students and 600 staff from local businesses
  
  
• Supported the development of a local on-farm composting site capable of recycling 500-780 tons of food waste annually, and;
  
  
• Developed a viable food waste hauling route to serve local businesses.
